The Hatters have scored nine goals across their opening three competitive matches, but conceding five times in their last two games highlights clear defensive concerns ahead of a visit to Stamford Bridge.

Jordan Clark's fitness is another issue to monitor. The midfielder suffered a heavy blow to the head against Notts County and was taken from the field on a stretcher before being transported to hospital. Although reports suggested he was conscious and communicating, his availability for the Chelsea match remains uncertain.

Luton do, however, possess enough attacking threat to trouble a rotated Chelsea side. Wells has already scored against both Gillingham and Notts County, while Callum Marshall also found the net recently. The visitors may therefore have opportunities if Chelsea's reshuffled defense takes time to settle.
